Before You Start

Check that tools are free from gross soiling (large, visible clumps or heavy residue). If present, rinse and scrub before immersing. A light covering of dust or debris is fine and doesn't need rinsing first.

How to Use — Step by Step

  1. Fill the tank to the line with lukewarm tap water (30–40°C, approx. 980 ml).
  2. Degas: At the start of each day, run a 90-second DEGAS cycle before your first clean. This removes trapped air for more effective cleaning.
  3. If disinfecting, add one 20g level scoop of NIBOVI Instrument Disinfectant Powder and mix for one minute to activate. (Skip this step if you are only cleaning.)
  4. Load the basket: Place your tools in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap — suitable for both metal and plastic instruments.
  5. Select your cycle: Choose 90, 180, 280, 380 or 480 seconds. For everyday cleaning we recommend the 90-second setting, which delivers an effective clean while keeping the tank at an optimal temperature. When disinfecting against spores, leave tools submerged for the full 30 minutes' contact time.
  6. Finish: Once the cycle ends, remove the tools, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and dry — or continue with your sterilisation process.

Why degas? Degassing releases trapped air from fresh water so the ultrasonic action works at full effectiveness. Run it once at the start of the day before your first clean.

Cycle Guidance (When Disinfecting)

Cleaning Throughout the day (up to 8 hours): The 90-second cycle is more than sufficient. It keeps your solution stable and maintains a high level of active biocide.

  • For spores: Leave tools submerged for the full 30 minutes' contact time after the 90 second cycle is complete.
  • Otherwise: Remove tools after 90 seconds to rinse and dry.
  • To preserve performance: Run no more than two cycles in any one-hour period.

End of day: Any cycle length is fine for cleaning and disinfecting, though the 90-second cycle remains optimal.

High-Volume Use (When Disinfecting)

In a busy salon where multiple staff share the same solution, mix a fresh batch after 4 hours if it's used more than twice an hour. This keeps efficacy high so it continues to kill all pathogens.

Important Do's & Don'ts

  • Do not leave tools submerged for longer than 30 minutes — you risk damaging them.
  • Do not overlap tools in the basket.
  • Do not leave tools to air dry.
  • Do rinse and dry thoroughly after every cycle.
  • For reusable professional tools only.

Returns & Faults

Returns: If you wish to return your NIBOVI Maris Ultrasonic Machine, contact NIBOVI at customercare@nibovi.com within 14 days of receiving your order. To be eligible:

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and sealed in their original packaging.
  • Returns must include the original packing slip.
  • Returns received outside the 14-day window will not be accepted.

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. A tracked service with retained proof of postage is strongly recommended, as NIBOVI cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.

Faulty items: If you believe you have received a faulty item, notify NIBOVI within 48 hours of delivery by emailing customercare@nibovi.com with your full name and order number, a description of the issue, a clear photograph showing the fault, and the attached packing slip. Once reviewed and the fault confirmed, NIBOVI will offer a replacement or other suitable resolution at its discretion.
